Have some hours to spare after your driving test? Good for you! We simply refund the remaining hours at the same price as your package, with no deductions.

If you decide to quit earlier (which we would of course be super sorry about), we will settle the hours at the separate hourly rate + an administration fee. Honest and transparent, as you would expect from Ryles!

How you pay? How you want! Cash is king, but a bank transfer or paying via the app with iDEAL is also allowed. Passed and still have hours left? No worries, we’ll just pay those back neatly, because at Ryles we drive fair and transparent.

Our rates are as friendly as our instructors! We have several packages to choose from (10, 20, 30, or 40 hours), so there’s always something that suits you and your wallet perfectly. We always throw in a free theory course. Top deal, right?

Car driving lessons

With us, one driving lesson lasts 90 fine minutes, or, two 45-minute blocks. Your time is precious and we make it super fun on board!

Definitely! You can start as early as 16.5 and yes, you really can drive that own car from the age of 17 (with a cosy companion next to it, of course)!

Home pick-up is definitely negotiable! But, a little tip from us: meeting up at a central point is sometimes the smartest move! That way we are directly in the exam area and no precious lesson time is lost on long drives.

You choose, we drive! Schedule your driving lessons when it suits you, our team is ready for you.

Good question! After your test driving lesson, you’ll get a tailor-made recommendation, because just like every person, every learning journey is unique! We estimate how many hours you will need to hug that driving licence! The CBR does say this is about 43 hours for a beginner.

Hoppa, choice galore! From 10 to 40 hours, including practical exam and FREE theory course! Choose what suits you and let’s start the engines!

Motorbike

Your motorbike adventure starts right in the exam area from our cosy garage at Ryles! Ready to go full throttle together?

Hi future speed demon! To start your motorbike driving lessons at Ryles, you need to be at least 17 years old. At this scintillating age, you can already start your theory and from 18 years young you can start practical lessons for the light motorbike (A1).

For the medium motorbike (A2), you need to be 20 and for the heavy motorbike (A), the magic age is 24 (or 22 if you have held your A2 licence for 2 years).

Theory

Applying for a theory exam is a piece of cake via our app. We’ll send you instructions and arrange available dates. Very handy! This is not included in your package as standard because you can get the exam cheaper at the CBR. We unfortunately have to charge an administration fee.

The motorbike theory certificate has the same shelf life of 1.5 years as your car theory certificate. So, plenty of time to hone those motorbike skills!

Your car theory certificate will keep shining for 1.5 years. That’s more than enough time to complete your driving lessons and rock your practical test!

‘Why not do both?’ Why? Because theory and practice go hand in hand. By understanding the traffic rules while taking practical lessons, you make faster progress and increase your chances of passing in one go!

Our online theory course is your key to success! Packed with explanations, videos, practice questions, and mock exams to get you ready for the real thing. The best news? It’s absolutely free if you purchase a package from us! Learn at your own pace and at your own place! Not taking lessons with us but still want the online theory course? You can purchase it in our app.

Exams

The BNOR exam, or Vocational Training Netherlands for Public Transport exam, is a special exam administered by the BNOR. This exam is designed for people who have been banned from driving or who cannot or do not want to take part in the regular CBR exam for other reasons. Here are some key features of the BNOR exam: Other Location: The BNOR exam is usually taken at a different location from the regular CBR exam. This may mean you have to travel to a different city or town for the exam. Other Examiners: The BNOR exam is conducted by examiners who are not employed by the CBR. These examiners are specially trained for the BNOR exam and have experience with different types of situations and candidates. A Separate Assessment: The BNOR exam is assessed separately and has its own pass standards. The standards can sometimes be stricter than those of the regular CBR exam. Feedback: As with the regular CBR exam, you will receive extensive feedback from the examiner after the BNOR exam. If you have to participate in the BNOR exam, it is important to be well prepared. Your instructor can help you prepare for this special exam. At Ryles, we understand the challenges that can come with obtaining your driving licence, and we are ready to support and guide you no matter what type of exam you have to take. Our goal is to ensure that you can pass your driving test with confidence and success!
The fear of failure exam is specially designed for people who suffer from exam anxiety or fear of failure. The aim is to give these students a fair chance of getting their driving licence, even if they get nervous easily in stressful situations. Here are some key features of the fear of failure exam: Extra Time: The fear of failure exam takes longer than the regular practical exam. This gives the candidate extra time to get comfortable and calmly show the examiner what he or she can do. Specially Trained Examiners: The fear of failure exam is conducted by examiners who are trained to deal with fearful candidates. They are patient and understanding and will try to create a relaxed atmosphere during the exam. Pause moments: There are pause moments built in during the fear of failure exam. If the candidate feels too stressed, he or she can stop for a moment to catch their breath before continuing with the exam. Feedback: At the end of the exam, the candidate receives comprehensive feedback from the examiner. This includes positives and areas for improvement. If you think you suffer from fear of failure, it is a good idea to raise this with your instructor. Together, you can decide whether the fear of failure test is the right choice for you. At Ryles, our instructors are always there to support you and help you deal with any fears. Our aim is to ensure that you can pass your driving test with confidence and success, no matter what challenges you face.
The intermediate test (TTT) is not only a valuable step in your driver training, but it can also help enormously to build your confidence and prepare you for the practical exam. Here are a few reasons why you should consider adding the TTT to your driving course:
  • Purpose of the TTT: The intermediate test is designed to prepare you for the real practical test. It gives you the opportunity to get used to the exam situation and how CBR works.
  • Practical experience: During the TTT, you will drive an exam route and perform various traffic manoeuvres, similar to the practical exam. The examiner will assess your driving skills and provide feedback afterwards.
  • Exemption on good result: If you pass the TTT (you don’t make any dangerous mistakes), you can get an exemption for the special operations during the practical exam. This means you will not have to perform these manoeuvres again during the practical exam.
  • Advice and feedback: If you fail the TTT, you will receive valuable feedback from the examiner. This allows you to improve specific areas before taking the practical exam.
  • Costs: The cost of the interim test is not included in the price of your lesson package at Ryles. You can choose to add the TTT to your course as an extra step to increase your chances of passing.
  • Request: You can request the TTT via the app after you have started your driving lessons. Our instructors can advise you on the right time to schedule the TTT.
  • Fighting Nerves:** Many students experience nerves before the practical exam. By taking the TTT, you can partially allay those nerves because you already know what to expect on the big day.
  • Increase chances of success:** Statistics from the CBR show that students who have taken the TTT are 75% more likely to pass their practical exam. So it can be a smart investment in your driving licence goals.
At Ryles, we encourage you to add the intermediate test to your driving course. It can be a valuable step to set you up for success on the practical test. Our instructors are ready to guide and support you in planning your TTT. Let’s work together towards your driving licence goals and get that coveted pink pass!

What kind of lesson are you looking for?

Will I be picked up at home?

Currently, pick-up and drop-off is done at relevant metro stations. IVM long travel times and lost lesson time when picking up from home. This ensures that we can stay and practice in the exam area as much as possible.
